Why This Reference Exists
Michigan law makes many public records available, but arrest information is spread across systems with different purposes. The Gratiot County Sheriff’s Office creates county jail booking records and directs the public to its live JailTracker roster. Courts document what happens after booking. The Michigan Department of Corrections publishes OTIS records for people within its sentenced-prisoner scope. When an online tool does not supply the needed booking record or photo, Gratiot County’s Freedom of Information Act process provides the request path. This site organizes those official sources and explains their limits without republishing arrest photos.
